We think the work this charity does is just brilliant. Their personalised riding lessons cater for disabled people from 4 years old up to 94! The opportunity to ride a horse offers so many benefits and brings so many smiles. It helps disabled people build confidence in what they can achieve, and gives them a real sense of joy.

At regular intervals throughout the year, Capalaba Produce assists CPEC to hold sausage sizzles and raffles at the store. We happily donate funds for food and drinks, so that whatever money is raised on the day goes directly back to the charity. When you consider how much happiness they bring to those who ride there, it’s the least we can do.

CPEC currently works with around 30 riders and has team of 40 volunteers who assist with the lessons and also look after maintenance of the centre. They’re always on the look out for extra hands, though, so if you’d like get involved, give them a call on 0474 614 269.

“Our riding school has been very fortunate to have the support of Capalaba Produce and Capalaba Saddlery for the past five years. The team has been wonderful, advising the best riding equipment options for people with disabilities. And if they haven’t got what we need, they source it. We are so grateful to them.”
